The Weston is a new gallery and visitor centre for Yorkshire Sculpture Park, designed by Feilden Fowles architects, which opened to the public in spring 2019. Built on a the site of a former quarry within the Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s 18th-century Bretton Estate, the building has been built to sit sensitively within this historic landscape.
We designed an accompanying publication for The Weston, which presents photography of the building, architectural documents and written contributions from Clare Lilley, Richard Wentworth, Fergus Feilden, Edmund Fowles and Peter Murray. The publication features a new bespoke typeface, Piloti, designed for Feilden Fowles by A Practice for Everyday Life.
Piloti Regular and Oblique is available to purchase through the APFEL Type Foundry.
