Australian sculptor Ricky Swallow creates detailed, tactile works and installations in a variety of media. We designed a publication that catalogues his explorations in bronze, in which he created contemporary approximations of everyday objects from this traditional material, often painted in a single vibrant colour. The design of the publication reflects the balance of old and new in the works, with nods to traditional book design in the use of textured end papers and classical typefaces. The layout accommodates large images in a variety of positions on the page to build a sense of rhythm for the reader.
