This book by artists Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin is an A to Z introduction to British Sign Language for children. It pairs images drawn from Getty’s extensive archive with a series of photographs demonstrating corresponding signs; together, the words and pictures form an absurd, nursery rhyme-like narrative. The book was devised in collaboration with the staff and students of the Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children. The design pairs greyscale images with clear, characterful typography and a range of vibrant spot colours throughout the book.
