Brand Identity and Printed Material
House of Voltaire was a pop-up shop selling art works, furniture and fashion by leading contemporary artists, in support of not-for-profit gallery Studio Voltaire. A cross between Keith Haring’s Pop Shop and an old-fashioned London boutique, our identity for the shop covered all sorts of material; from traditional sign-writing on the front door and interior; to bags, tissue paper and staff overalls.

Studio Voltaire is an independent contemporary arts organisation that exists to support artistic practices by providing affordable studios and a programme of exhibitions, performances and commissions. They place the artist at the centre of everything they do. Starting as an artist-run space, they developed their initial logo. We thought it was important for them to keep their roots, advising them to stick with the foundations of the original, but adapting it slightly and developing the identity and material around the logo, including their website.

As part of our work developing Studio Voltaire's identity, we re-looked at their website. Incorporating colour schemes and typographic elements from the printed material, the site continues to highlight the ethos and programming of the organistation.
