These photographs take the newly designed Tristram Shandy book back to its roots; Shandy Hall in Coxwold, near York – the mediaeval priest's house that Lawrence Sterne modernised and lived in from 1760 until his death in 1768. It's here in the study that Sterne wrote Shandy, and where the largest collection of his work is available to view. Petr Krejčí photographed the book amongst the first editions, giving it a playful life of it's own that evokes the text within.
